We would like to advise that a delivery driver to Aldi Casey Central has tested positive for COVID-19.

The driver last visited Casey Central on 12th August and was only on site for 10 minutes and remained in the external loading dock only. The staff member did not enter the Centre, attend any other stores before or after the delivery.

The positive result was advised to Casey Central Centre Management today, Tuesday 18 August.

As a precautionary measure, Aldi is undertaking a deep clean of their store.

The Department of Health and Human Services have been notified of case. Aldi are following all advice with regards to isolation of employees who were in contact.

The Centre continues to follow closely the many pro-active measures for cleaning, social distancing and support for all visitors, to maintain personal hygiene. We continue to closely monitor advice from State and Federal Government and Health bodies.

Important COVID-19 Update for Casey Central

We would like to advise that a team member at Target Casey Central has tested positive for COVID-19.

The Target Team Member last worked at the site on 23/7/20, they were not symptomatic at this time. The staff member did not attend any other stores prior or post their shift.

The positive result was advised to Casey Central Centre Management on 27/7/2020.

On the evening of 27/7/2020, Target undertook a deep clean throughout their store via a specialist contract cleaner. Over and above Government guidelines, on the evening of 27/7/2020, Casey Central also executed a precautionary sanitisation of all touch points and amenities throughout the Centre, prior to the re-opening of trade.

The Department of Health and Human Services have been notified of case as per protocol.

The Centre continues to follow closely the many pro-active measures for cleaning, social distancing and support for all visitors to maintaining personal hygiene and we monitor closely advice from State and Federal Government and Health bodies.

  • The Centre continues to keep food courts and playgrounds closed.
  • Beauty therapy, tanning, waxing, nail services, massages & spa services will close effective 12 midnight on Wednesday 8 July 2020.
  • Restaurants and Cafes are only permitted to serve takeaway food and beverage effective 12 midnight on Wednesday 8 July 2020.
  • Hairdressers and barbershops are permitted to remain open abiding by the one person per 4m2 rule.
  • All other retailers continue to trade with social distancing practices put into place. Ensuring that customers limits in store do not exceed the one person per 4m2 rule.
  • If you are interested in visiting a particular retailer, to avoid disappointment, please refer to our ‘Stores’ page and contact them directly to confirm their trading hours.

We take our responsibility seriously to keep the Casey Central all staff and customers, of the Casey Central Community safe and healthy.  To this end Centre Management have implemented the following measures across the centre.

  • The Centre continues to focus on additional cleaning/sanitisation precautions to ensure that Casey Central remains a safe environment for customers to visit for everyday goods and services.
  • A series of social distancing floor decals are installed and doors at all the entries
  • Sanitizer stations are located at the Centre entries
  • We are running announcements on the overhead PA system to remind customers about social distancing and hygiene
  • Public announcement messages appearing on our digital signboards
  • Signage in toilets and parent facilities.
  • Markers located on the floors throughout malls to assist with social distancing
  • Directional arrows installed at bottleneck points throughout the Centre

We ask all staff employed at the Centre and customers to take the following steps:

  • In line with government guidelines for stopping the spread of infectious diseases, we ask all customers to observe good hygiene practices at all times.
  • Wash your hands with soap regularly,
  • Avoid personal contact with other non-family members, avoid touching your face and
  • Utilise hand sanitisation products located at Centre entrances and in retailer stores.
  • Please continue to support our retailers! They employ and provide a livelihood for locals and their families.

As a provider of many critical household products and services, we are pleased to advise that Casey Central remains open for business. However in line with ongoing Government regulations:

  • The Centre continues to keep food courts and playgrounds closed.
  • Hairdressers, barbershops, Beauty therapy, tanning, waxing, nail services, massages & spa services are permitted to trade abiding by the one person per 4m2 rule.
  • Restaurants and Cafes are permitted to serve dine in food and beverage with the following restrictions:
    • Maximum of 20 seated patrons per designated area (ie inside, courtyard or licenced seating area) as long as the number of patrons still fits within the one person per 4m2 rule.
    • The recording of contact details for all dine-in customers
    • Tables are to be placed 1.5 metres apart, allowing for social distancing
  • All other retailers continue to trade with social distancing practices put into place. Ensuring that customers limits in store do not exceed the one person per 4m2 rule.

As a provider of many critical household products and services, we are pleased to advise that Casey Central remains open for business. Shopping centres have been deemed exempt from shutdown regulations.

However, from Monday 25 March, you’ll notice some changes at Casey Central made in line with the Government’s latest social distancing measures.  These include:

  • The removal of food court seating
  • All food outlets now serving takeaway only
  • Closure of gyms & entertainment venues
  • Beauty therapy, tanning, waxing, nail services, massages & spa services are no longer permitted (from midnight 26 March 2020)
  • Hairdressers & barbershops will be restricted to services which take 30 minutes or less and must abide by the one person per 4m2 rule (from midnight 26 March 2020)

All other retailers continue to trade with social distancing practices put into place. if you are interested in visiting a particular retailer, to avoid disappointment, please refer to our ‘Stores’ page and contact them directly.
